Hello me old china!!*

August 25, 2010

Phil just got this in the post today. We’re not sure how many are being printed but look forward to hearing from Chinese-speaking readers.
We’re also hoping it will be available in the UK and Europe for Chinese students and business people.
Phil is now thinking he should do a book promotion tour to China!?
It cheered him up no end!

*Cockney rhyming slang “china plate” = “mate”. Mate meaning friend. And it’s a ‘china’ plate because it’s pottery made using ‘china’ clay…which didn’t come from China, but was used to approach the quality of Chinese porcelain. I think.

I think it would be a good idea to do some promotion in China. It would provide good insight for them to see how marketing activities or general marketing is done but also vise versa. If some students help with promotions it would be really good experience to promoting something espcailly if they have never done it before but have studied it or just finishing there studies.

Someone quitly says to him self Hmmm…..would be good experience though hmmmm…..

WE have two books coming up – an update to ‘Marketing & PR on a shoestring’ and a new and improved ‘Virtually Free 2’ – which I hope will be in Chinese as well. Thanks for your support.
